Hit Me,Baby, One More Time
I took leave today. Thought that my baby girl was going to join us in the world today but apparently it was just a false alarm. We'll just have to continue waiting. Both our parents are also filled with anxiety for labour to happen after all it is our first child and my mother's first granddaughter.
But the break from work was good from me. I might have to go back to work tomorrow though. Sigh. But on the other hand, it might happen tomorrow so I might not need to stay all day at work.
I have always wondered how I would react when The Call finally comes. Would I be anxious? Would I be calm? Or would I just be my mother's son and be all Kan Cheong? After today, I found that I was exhilarated and all anxious about going to the hospital. Just to let you gauge how anxious, I have my video camera ready with the camera all charged with 2 spare tapes. I have my sister's digital camera with 2 128Mb memory sticks and just in case I also bought a 256Mb memory stick. And as an extra precaution, I also bought some rolls of film for my dust crusted Canon SLR camera. I even charged the Gameboy for the expected 20 hour long wait at the labour ward. But it was not to be today. 28th April is not going to be a date that will go into my annual diary.
So for now, we just have to go about our daily activities as per normal. Will post again if it happens.
