The sleeping 'Giant' awakes!
It has been so long since I last posted on this blog. Have been very busy with this new phase in life and am still getting used to the routine. Many changes have occurred and Bub has matured quite a bit. She is more awake now and wants to play! This is getting fun as we explore the many things that make her coo and laugh like Mama singing a hokkien song on the karaoke machine. Problem is the time is 4am and we (her parents) want to go back to sleep but there she is cooing away trying to imply to us that she wants to play. We have to literally rock her to sleep despite her many protest that she has no intentions to sleep, her big eyes staring back at you. Well, all we can do is pray!!!!
I have a new toy as well. Fizzy bought me a Father's Day/ Birthday/ Wedding /Christmas present in the form of the new Canon 350D. Have been playing with it since last Friday. In fact, some of the pics that you see in Bub's and Fizzy's blog are from that camera. I am so happy with it. When I finally fix the problem on my PC, I will post more of the pics that I took.
In the meantime, I am looking forward for tomorrow. The Half Blood Prince is going to be officially launched and I can get my hands on the 6th installment in the Harry Potter series. J K Rowling has a really good story line going on and it really sets the readers waiting in anticipation as to what more is the young wizard going to encounter in his 6th year in Hogwarts. How did he fare in his O.W.Ls (Ordinary Wizarding Levels for those who have yet read book 4 & 5)? Can he continue on towards his ambition to become an Auror? What evil deeds will the Dark Lord Voldemort conjure this year? Has Harry really lost Sirius forever? Will the DA (Dumledore's Army) be disbanded or will it continue in Hogwarts? So many things to ponder on and we will find out tomorrow!!!!! There goes many of my nights once again. It will most likely be another book that is hard to put down. Hope that this book will be good, or I will be greatly disppointed.
The Goblet of Fire movie will be showing in cinemas very soon too. I wonder who will act as Cho Chang, Fleur and Mad Eye Moody. I hope they don't cut too much out from the book but I doubt that they can squeeze the whole story into 120mins. They have to squeeze the three trials, the Yule Ball, the final duel with Lord Voldemort. That is definitely going to be a feat.
The worst part of it all is that after I finish reading the book and then watch the movie, there will be another long lull of at least 2 years before the next book or movie. :(
