Half Blood Princes, Barbeques and lots of cuteness!

The book to many have been quite a disappointment especially the "climax" (or the lack there of) at the end where Harry loses yet another person close to his heart. To me, that was an inevitable event especially if Harry is to be the one to face Lord Voldemort in the very end. How is he to do that if there is still another Wizard that the Dark Lord fears? What I found took too many pages of the thick book is the whims and whams of pupp love and the age of adolescence. Yes, we can see Rowling is trying to remind the readers that the charecters are only sixteen and seventeen years old but I think she has emphasised too much time on that rather than the story line. Someone even said to me that it is because she could not come up with a storyline that she has resorted to these less entertaining pieces of information to form the skeleton of her book. What was even more frustrating is her duplication of the Spiderman story where the hero distants himself from the one that he loves, for fear that his enemies will discover this fact and she will then be an inevitable target. Sigh. Why spend so much time building up the story before they finally get together (and many pages of the 600 plus page book) and finally to end it off just like that (Exactly how Peter Parker breaks it off with Mary Jane in the movie!)

Well, enough bitching about the book. Fizzy and I just invested in a gas BBQ Grill.

It cooks twice as fast as your conventional charcoal barbeque. And you can even control the flame so that your chicken won't become "Chao Tar". Although you will not get the same smokey taste of charcoal on your food, I think overall, I give this BBQ set 2 thumbs up!!! Had 2 BBQs since and they resulted in Fizzy and I both coming down with sore throats that developed to colds. It didn't help that the flu bug was going around. I think it is partially due to the haze that engulfed Malaysia. Although we don't get it as bad as our neighbouring country, you can still smell it in the air. Sigh! As they say, too much of a good thing may not be good for you. Well, in this case, it's not good for our health. For those who have seen me recently, not good for my waist line too!

And of course, the most talked about person in my life now. Little Bub is just oozing with cuteness. She is much better now. Less crying and more playing and laughing. She is very alert for a 3 month old baby and she can recognise people and places now. Stranger anxiety is kicking in but we are dealing with it quite well for now. For more pics on her, please visit her blog site.

I haven't been able to upload any photos as I am mostly blogging from the office. The photos are all in the camera and I have no means to upload to them. Tahan for now.
